Two dragonflies in a mating wheel posture on vegetation, showing the characteristic blue and yellow/brown abdominal markings, blue eyes, and relatively slender body of the Migrant Hawker — the male (upper) displaying bright blue abdominal spots and the female (lower) showing the typical yellowish-brown patterning; the small antehumeral stripes and overall size are consistent with Aeshna mixta rather than the larger Southern or Brown Hawker.
