Field note

A small falcon-sized bird captured in low-light flight close to a dry-stone wall, showing warm reddish-brown/rufous upperparts with dark barring visible on the wings, a relatively long tail, and pointed wing shape consistent with a kestrel; the dusk lighting and image quality make definitive identification challenging, but the size, colouration, and habitat (rural field boundary with dry-stone wall) are all consistent with Common Kestrel.
